“I AM WHAT I AM BECAUSE OF WHO WE ARE” – Our New World Begins With YOU…
Facebook Postings
It’s been four months since I posted anything on our website blog! I’ve managed to post on my Facebook pages almost every day since end 2009 until now; and the postings have somehow supported both clients and friends all over the world, which makes writing them regularly most heartening.
Notes of Appreciation
I am fortunate to receive numerous notes of appreciation like the following:
“Great words Helen!!!! I love it…Your words always help me to work through my thinking. Love you.”
“Thank you, Helen. I always enjoy your inspiring posts. Thank you for enriching the lives of all of us!!!”
“So True… Helen I am beginning to save your words of wisdom in a special folder for me read when I am down… ..I’m sure people tell you Thank You all the time, considering the kind of person you are. But there’s no better way to tell you how appreciative I am. Thank You.”
“God bless You. Things are getting better progressively. Your posts as always are well timed by the Grace of the Divine. Thanks for Caring.”
Self-Help Book & Inspirational Cards
Thanks to several clients and friends, I am now compiling my Facebook postings into a self-help book and a deck of inspirational cards. Here’s what someone on Facebook wrote:
“What amazing words…I will be the first to get them when your books are published… I truly believe in serendipity and every time I read your words… I am getting closer to meeting you… I have mentioned to my colleagues and friends that I have a ‘electronic life coach’ for you are indeed one. When I give advice to others, I always quote you… ‘My life coach says….lol!”
It is this kind of heart-warming response that helps to keep me going, keep me joyfully doing more and more to be of service to the greatest number of people worldwide, in a way that is personalized and deeply transforming. Appreciation is truly a wonderful state of being!
Collaboration & Expansion
I’ve used the last four months to prepare for an expanded version of what I’ve been doing for the last 19 years, in terms of coaching, facilitating and transformational work – for both individuals and organizations.
All these years have been indeed a long preparation to get to this momentous point, when I can, with the help of fellow veteran coaches, trainers and kindred spirits from Europe and North America, bring our work to the world in a way where we can truly make a difference and contribute towards creating a New World and a much more powerful way of living and working.
The essence of what we do is to move people towards a gentler, more compassionate, conscious and responsible way of operating. And to support everyone, from leaders right at the top and throughout the ranks, to think and act differently, to move away from fear that has driven all of us, over centuries. We help people and organizations to be the best they can be, to shift from effectiveness to greatness!
Infinite Possibilities
Is it possible? Yes! Is it naive? No, it’s enormously practical! Is it time? Absolutely! It’s about having an abundance mentality as opposed to thinking lack or scarcity. The former gets people to think and act in terms of infinite possibilities while the latter drives people to make decisions out of fear and self-centeredness.
Do not misunderstand. The basis of all this is that we must all learn to love and care for ourselves, to put ourselves first and foremost; and take care of our own needs. And when we are able to do this well, we become our powerful, whole and loving selves; and we bring the innate greatness within us to the world.
We bring a tremendous stability, centeredness and balance to others, both individuals and organizations, that adds up to being truly powerful beyond measure. We thereby ignite the greatness in others and the multiplier effect continues.
Think Miracles
Think not in terms of what’s going on now. Think in terms of what’s ideal, how fantastic it would be, if only our world, countries, governments, organizations of all kinds and homes were to operate in a certain way because we, individually and collectively, operate in a certain way.
And think also in terms of miracles, of somehow, because the timing is right, we are able to transform the way we are and the way our world is, starting with ourselves, starting with a handful of organizations, until a critical mass changes and creates the tipping point that changes everything.
Martin Luther King, Jr and Nelson Mandela were able to hold unwavering visions of changes that became reality. No one would have thought back in the ‘60s that the US would now have an African American President! And Nelson Mandela accomplished the seemingly impossible by becoming the first South African President after 27 years in prison.
Enlightened Ubuntu Philosophy
Mandela preached the African concept of Ubuntu which he explains as such: “A traveler through a country would stop at a village and he didn’t have to ask for food or for water. Once he stops, the people give him food, entertain him. That is one aspect of Ubuntu, but it will have various aspects. Ubuntu does not mean that people should not enrich themselves. The question therefore is: Are you going to do so in order to enable the community around you to be able to improve?”
Indeed, this is what we must base our thoughts, actions and life on. This is the way of operating we must bring into our homes, our businesses and our world.
Archbishop Desmond Tutu further explains: “One of the sayings in our country is Ubuntu – the essence of being human. Ubuntu speaks particularly about the fact that you can’t exist as a human being in isolation. It speaks about our interconnectedness. You can’t be human all by yourself, and when you have this quality – Ubuntu – you are known for your generosity.
“A person with Ubuntu is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed.”
Let’s live, work and run our world based on this enlightened philosophy which Liberian peace activist Leymah Gbowee succinctly translates as: “I am what I am because of who we all are.”
So, let’s dream big and move towards being our enlightened selves and creating an enlightened world of harmony and Abundance For All. Believe that not only is it possible now but that it begins with you believing, thinking and acting as if it is possible now. Be the change you wish to see in the world, as another great leader Gandhi taught us!
We’re counting on you!

Your articles are filled with an iron-willed tenderness before which the seemingly intractable yields to love. A wonderful invitation to undertake the Hero’s journey under the tutleage of fierce, accomplished guide. You need to write a book (in all the spare time you don’t have :)). Thanks and love and light! Bless you, inspirational Helen Lee!
Thank you so much, Bill! I think this comment was meant for another more recent blog post of mine but I greatly appreciate what you are saying here, and I will make time to write that book! Wishing you endless blessings and dreams come true! x
